Where to Park?

Parking in and around Hilton Field at Fort Jackson should be very well marked for your convenience. Guards will be in place to assist you as to the best place to park. With thousands of spectators expected to converge on Fort Jackson, here are a few tips to ease congestion and make for a more enjoyable experience.

  • Traffic control points, posted guards, and confirmation signs will guide you to the closest available parking area to Hilton Field. Generally speaking, follow the flow of traffic.

  • Try to arrive early.

  • Visitors operating a motor vehicle are required to have license, proof of insurance, and registration. You must show a valid drivers license or Military ID card to gain access to the installation.

  • No outside traffic will be allowed to travel through the housing area. Personnel living in the housing area are required to have a housing pass. If housing occupants do not get a pass from “The Leader”, they pick one up at the MP station.

  • No weapons will be allowed on the installation with the exception of Law Enforcement working in an official LE capacity.

  • Visitors parked in areas near Hilton Field (SSI, Chaplin School, Dozier Hall, and the USAR Center) are encouraged to walk to and from Hilton Field.

  • Bus stops will be provided at parking areas not feasible for walking.

  • No alcohol will be allowed at the event.

  • If you are not directed into a parking area by Traffic Control Personnel, please do not park there, you may be forced to walk a great distance or wait hours for a bus to arrive.
